Bursting pressure
Differential pressure between inlet and outlet side of the bursting disc at which the bursting disc opens and frees the flow cross section. The bursting pressure is always subject to a bursting tolerance which is specified on the label of the disc. The bursting pressure is affected by the back pressure prevailing on the outlet side, a fact which has imperatively to be considered when when analyzing the disc’s location.
