Burst Indicator

The SVT-02 burst indicator is designed to detect the opening of an upstream rupture disc and to initiate appropriate measures as a result. When used in conjunction with a compatible signal conditioning unit, it detects the activation of a pressure relief device as well as other relevant factors. If the components are connected to an intrinsically safe circuit, they are classified as so-called simple electrical equipment in accordance with the type of protection ‘Intrinsic Safety i’. In accordance with the applicable statutory instrument, they are not subject to Directive 2014/34/EU, as they do not have an independent potential ignition source.
